What we do
Noldor makes advanced AI run directly on small, low-power devices — phones, sensors, and hardware out in the world — instead of sending everything back to a distant data center.
We do it with a different way of computing: information becomes patterns of numbers, and the reasoning over it comes down to the same simple piece of arithmetic, repeated. That keeps the work light enough to happen right where the data is.
Why it matters
That one simple operation is exactly what a new generation of ultra-efficient chips — including analog hardware — is built to do, very fast and at very low power.
So work that normally needs the cloud can happen on the device itself: in real time, keeping your data private, and without a constant internet connection.
Sutra
Our work is built on Sutra, a programming language designed for computing this way.
